Cocktail Party Dresses

One of the most common parties that most adults, professionals and non
professionals attend is cocktail party. This form of social gathering
is usually held early in the evening and lasts for about two hours.
The party may be held at home, or in a private room of a restaurant or
hotel or in a business setting like a gallery or a bookstore.
Cocktails like wine and other beverages are served along with some
finger foods which are appealing to the appetite and stave off hunger
until dinner time. This event also gave rise to cocktail dress that
most women wear in this party. After the selection of the cocktail
itself to be served, the next big thing goes to the women who will
attend the occasion. When it comes to cocktail and short dresses, the
selection isn’t really that tough because you don’t really have to
dress up compared to attending a more formal party. But then since
there are some people who want to impress others with their fashion
sense, they chose to wear something sophisticated to make them stand
out from the crowd. There is nothing with being overdressed; I think
I’d rather do it than wear something too plain and simple. I had
attended a cocktail before wherein one of my friends got too shy
because of her dress. She chose to wear a simple two piece green
garment that she normally wears in her school while the rest were
wearing dressed to kill. I’m thankful because I was among the people
who were dressed accordingly for the occasion and I never had a hard
time socializing. They say we eat to please ourselves but then we
dress to please others. One thing that we should be grateful now is
the fashion trend that seems to be less inhibiting. If in the old
days, a normal evening dress always comes in black now it has become
more bold, daring and vivid. We have seen this among celebrity awards
night and guest appearances in talk shows. Most of those fashions chic
are wearing colorful raspberry red gown, turquoise short dresses and
my own favorite metallic and shimmery gowns. Then when it comes to
accessories, just make sure that you don’t exaggerate. Don’t think
that you’re attending a prom so too much elaborate prom dresses are a
no-no. You can still choose from the line, just be wary of the laces.

Glasses Out, Lenses In

Who says contact lenses are just for people with poor eyesight? It might be its sole purpose but in the name of fashion everything comes in a trend. These lenses like other products have flourished in the market. From the common and traditional lenses comes the new design of colored lenses and believe it or not Swarovski crystals are the newest craze! Colored lenses, according to some people can be sometimes scary but to me, it’s never an issue. What’s creepy to me is a woman like that of a supporting cast in Gossip Girl, for some reason still wearing thick glasses when in fact in her status can buy any contact lenses that she desires. If some people were also hesitant to use because of some dos and don’ts let me tell you, it’s just a piece of cake. I’ve been wearing lenses for a long time now. All I needed to do was to consult an optician for professional assessment and eye check. Other things like contact solution and contact care was never a nuisance to me. What’s more bothersome than wearing those glasses around your face, just like a geek? Having the perfect lenses don’t just make your eyesight better, they do make you look better.

Be like Sweet Sixteen Again

I still couldn’t get over with the movie GI Joe that I just watched last night. I was really impressed even to the fact that the movie was underrated. I like both of the ladies; Sienna Miller gave a justification of her character, the Baroness and Rachel Nichols as Shana O’Hara. I’m not really into war flicks, that’s why I didn’t know most of the characters but then I have seen Sienna Miller from Stardust and Casanova and I quite like her fashion statement. The same thing goes for Rachel Nichols, way back to her Alias days. Well, this is not actually a movie review I just like seeing Sienna as brunette and Rachel in her sexy GI outfit. What’s really eating me lately is the fact that I’ll be attending a birthday party – my boyfriend’s sister will be turning sweet sixteen next weekend. Considering that it’s a teen party, I’m kind of worried which clothes to wear. I have to be wary of my dress; I don’t want to look dressed to kill but I don’t want to be under dressed at the same. The last time I checked my closet, most of my dresses are long and I don’t think I’d be wearing any of them. I couldn’t go shopping anymore because my schedule is getting too hectic lately. When I go out, I would be lucky if I can still catch the last full show movies otherwise I just have to settle with the late shows on TV. My last resort would be online shopping and have the dress delivered right to office door. Thanks to the fact that I’m internet savvy so I knew some online shopping sites. I’m ever thankful to prom dresses online for they’ve always been for the rescue. Getting them is really easy aside from the fact that they’re really affordable and trendy. Collections vary from short prom dresses to long gowns and a lot of accessories up for grabs. Just like the usual, prom dresses Clarrise are my favorite among their online collections of gowns. This is not the first time that I made a purchase and I was really satisfied with the product. I’m just wondering if I would be lucky enough to get my preferred design. I’ve had experienced that their stocks quite sell like hotcakes so ordering has to done ahead of time. As for me I would try my luck to get my party dress tonight and hopefully have my problem settled as early as possible.

Sleepless in L.A

They say one of the factors to remain beautiful, stress free and looking young is to get enough sleep or if not that enough at least five undisturbed hours or quality sleep would suffice. Even how hectic my schedule is, or how workaholic I may be, I make sure that I get to sleep seven hours a day or with a minimum of at least six hours a day. I don’t want to look grumpy in the office or when I go to any of my events. Thanks to my wonder bed, which I consider as one of my precious stuff courtesy of Stearns and Foster mattress for without them I could not have emancipated from insomnia. Way back then, my usual get up would always include dark glasses to hide those puffy eyes and concealer to camouflage those dark circles beneath. Those were the days when normal concerns flooded me everyday asking me if I were just fine or what’s eating me whatsoever. I love to pamper myself with clothes, cosmetics, shoes and accessories. Looking good gives out the confidence in me and when it comes to looking good it entails proper clothes and accessories, good posture and enough sleep.

Russian Coats and Trips

I remember when I last visited Russia, I was really amazed with how the men and women carry themselves with the most fashionable coats ever. The Russian people dress themselves in different winter clothes. Some of them wear downs, while others go for suiting coats and fur coats. Downs are highly cozy and really warm, and are very in style with young Russian people. Stylish and serious people have a preference for fur coats in common, but tasteful nevertheless. I was able to really enjoy my time that time because I was able to see highly fashionable people at their best, even though the weather was really freezing. That is why I am so excited for my next trip to that country via our incredible tours package and see the maks 2009 air show as well. With the addition of the Moscow Metro trip, it will surely be a blast, especially since Moscow is the civilization capital of the whole country, so I could basically get all the coats that I want that I can wear by the time of winter season in the United States. I should be able to come up with highly trendy combination of colors because the Russians are really at their best at making beautifully made coats.

I’ve been searching for a perfect getaway and I think I just found the right answer, mountain outdoors. I’m not really fond of swimming for sunburn gives me the creeps. Besides, tan lines spoils fashion. I don’t understand why some people wear sleeveless, backless, skimpy clothes just to show their tan lines. I think that’s just insane. Well, as for backpacking, trekking or paddling your skin is much protected from the sun’s harmful UV rays. I don’t think sun block cream would do the job especially in this kind of weather. With this kind of outdoor activity, the bottom line is packing light but not really light because you might end up helpless in the woods. As for me, along with my favorite brand of back pack and mountain gears, I have to make sure my boots are meant for hiking. Not to mention, my favorite brand. It’s not just for my style but I rely mostly on their quality so much. It’s going to be a jungle out there so I have my jackets, socks, sleeping bags and other stuff ready. A Dilemma that Almost Caused Us Big Time

We were really busy about all of the wedding preparations that we almost forgot about the wedding invitations that were supposed to be printed out already and sent to the people that we want to invite. The problem started when my partner and I had some issues with the venue. It basically took all of our attention because the venue that was supposed to be reserved on the first of August was left open and somebody booked it on the same day at the same time. There were a lot of arguments before we could really get the venue under our name. I just can’t understand why we had to settle with the other people that booked the place when the fact is we were the one who got it first until the assistant messed up the reservations in the first place. After that was settled, we were able to hold track of all the things that we should do and it’s a good thing that we were able to get a good service from an internet web site that does printing. I guess this is what we get for not hiring a wedding planner to handle everything for us.

My sister is about to make an egg donation because according to her, this would be one of the noblest things that she could ever do in her entire life, and the best part here is she is doing it for her best friend.
